ThanksGiving, for What?

I know it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel with the economy crashing, job losses, outsourcing and this subtle "change" to a fascist dictatorship in this so called free country, but we still have so much to be thankful for.
Most of us have our health, or at least enough to get by, or we wouldn't be on the computer reading this email. We even still have the money to pay for the connection, which is also something to be thankful for, never mind all the knowledge we are able to gain and share due to this tecnology that many in this world do not have. :-)
I hope that everyone is able to spend time with their loved ones, or even time with themselves to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for as there are many in the world that are suffering much worse than we are, and have been since they were brought in to this world. As we sit around the dinner table and complain about this crisis we are now facing and all the horrible things that the banksters and other world so called leaders want to do to us, please try to find something to give thanks for...your health, your family, the beautiful surroundings the Lord has given us with most perfect creation in nature. 'Taking time to smell the roses' gives us much more than a temporary whiff of a beautiful scent, it is a reminder that can give us strength, peace and a renewal of courage to do the right thing in this game of life we live, despite the obstacles put before us.
As I entitled my last blog, "It's the Journey, not the Destination", I meant it as a reminder to enjoy every bit of our lives that we live. We already know the destination and "it ain't over till we win!" (Carl Klang) So why waste one more second on nagativity that is sure to weigh us down??? For every action, there is a reaction. We can create our own happiness and serenity and I for one and am thankful to know this truth!
Mother Nature has made everything perfect from the petals on the flowers, each needle on the pine, every wind sweeping the beautiful leaves across our homes and forrests, the sun rising and setting, even the tilt and axis of our earth. It is all created ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! I like to focus on that perfection, the perfection that shows me without a doubt that there is a higher power holding these things in line. This same higher power (Our Creator) also made you just as perfect!
I hope that you all find that hope in the perfection of everything that was created around us and can start to realize how this directly relates to you and your life, given the absolute perfection you were also created to be.
We can choose to focus on the good, the bad and/or the ugly. When we make those choices, we can actually LIVE these choices and experience all the goodness and worth we were meant to be.

Philippians 4:4-9

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

I do not want to get in a biblical or religious debate as I am completely against organized religion and their lies or misinterpretations, and I also understand and love those that do not believe or see things as I do, but I send you this quote as a reminder of the peace that I know He wants for all of us. I can testify to this fact that giving thanks in ALL things WILL bring you peace, understanding and serenity. You can have this peace too! This peace and serenity was meant for you as we are ALL part of the body of Christ.
"Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." 1 Corinthians 12:27
If we are ALL part of the body of Christ, of goodness, of love, then we were all given that perfection He was also Created with. Just try making better personal choices and giving perfection a chance. Just try giving thanks in all things to see if God is a liar. I know He is not and how He has worked through my life. I want this feeling and sense of wholeness and ease for you as well.
The bottom line is, no matter what your beliefs are, you have to know that there is something pulling the strings, whether you choose to call Him God, Lord, The Creator, Mother Nature, Allah, Buddah or George...etc. It's not just coincidence that our heart beats every time it's supposed to and it isn't because of the fraudulent medical profession or scientists either. So I would like to encourage you to just give it a try this Thanksgiving. Try turning that frown upside down, change that stinking thinking and look at the positive...all the Blessings (or if you choose to call it 'luck') that we do have.
